The service

Prontaclean provides laundry, dry-cleaning, ironing and related garment-care services. Shop visits are welcome without an online booking. Vehicle collection and return services are normally available in the stated Harrogate service area on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am and 1pm.

Same-day service is shop-based only and remains subject to availability. Collection and return times are windows rather than guaranteed arrival times.

Bookings and capacity

An online submission is a booking request, not immediate acceptance. A contract for the requested visit is formed when Prontaclean accepts the request and sends confirmation. Requests are subject to address checks, vehicle capacity and service availability.

Online requests normally close at 11:59pm on the day before the requested visit and can be made up to one week ahead. Prontaclean may contact you to clarify details, propose another date, or decline a request with a reason.

Pricing and payment

Published prices apply to standard items and stated weight bands. Service washing costs £14 for the first started 6kg and £13 for each additional started 6kg in the same order. Feather-filled items carry the published surcharge. A £14 minimum service value applies to collection bookings, plus the stated £2 one-way or £3 collection-and-return vehicle charge.

The online estimate is based on the information supplied. Prontaclean assesses the actual items after receiving them and confirms the final itemised price. Payment may be made using the secure online link or, where agreed for a one-way journey, in the shop.

For a return delivery, the proposed return slot is secured only when payment is completed by the deadline in the payment email or when staff record an agreed in-store payment. If payment is late, the provisional slot may be released and a later available date arranged.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate contact, address, item and access information.
• Ensure pockets are emptied and disclose known stains, damage, delicate materials, special finishes or care requirements.
• Ensure Prontaclean can safely and lawfully access the collection location during the booked window.
• If using a safe place, make it dry and accessible. Items remain your responsibility until Prontaclean collects them.
• Collect shop-held items or accept return delivery within a reasonable period after notification.

Garment care and problems

Prontaclean will use reasonable care and skill, consider available care labels and select an appropriate treatment. Stain removal cannot be guaranteed, and some stains, fabrics, dyes, trims, ageing or pre-existing damage may limit the result or make treatment inadvisable. Prontaclean will seek to discuss a material concern before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

Please raise any problem promptly and keep the item available for inspection. Prontaclean does not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Your statutory rights, including the right for services to be performed with reasonable care and skill, remain unaffected.

Changes, cancellation and missed visits

Contact the shop as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a visit. Where statutory cancellation rights apply, they are unaffected. If you ask Prontaclean to begin the service during a cancellation period, you may be responsible for a reasonable amount for work already carried out where the law permits.

If collection cannot be completed because access is unavailable or the information supplied is incorrect, Prontaclean may need to arrange a new date. Any charge or change will be discussed rather than applied automatically.

General terms

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. Prontaclean may update these terms for future orders; the version applying when an order is accepted governs that order.
